The appeal for us was many climbs within our abilities (low V-rating, like V0 for me and V1-3 for Emily). We weren't really prepared for the beauty we discovered. .. image:: /images/posos-pretty-rocks.jpg :width: 100% The rocks here are really something else. We had no idea this area existed. It's also not terribly far from civilization or difficult to get to. I'm really exited to explore it more and continue visiting. .. image:: /images/posos-small-emily.jpg :width: 100% I really need to read a book on geology because I don't know how to describe the rock other than "really pretty great" for climbing. They didn't even hurt my soft keyboard fingers. .. image:: /images/posos-emily-bouldering.jpg :width: 100% I was mostly on V0's for the morning. Emily tried some V1's and V2's. After lunch we went to another area. Emily was able to smash some decent problems. If I can find a way to do videos on this new site format I'll post the video of her on the V2 that she eventually figured out. .. image:: /images/posos-selfie.jpg :width: 100% In the evening we drove back down to civilization and spent some quality time at the Ojo Caliente hot springs. We might have taken photos but I don't think they want you to photograph the area. Regardless, it was beautiful, and relaxing. The next day we had identified a bike trail of interest, however, it turned out to be a road and decide to drive along it in lieu of biking it. Supposedly it goes to Los Alamos from Abiquiu but we didn't take it the whole way. .. image:: /images/abiquiu-janeway.jpg :width: 100%
